ABOUT THE ATTRACTION:
Runaway Mountain is a Premier Rides indoor family(?) roller coaster. The ride takes place inside a giant show-building, with its exterior themed to look like a large mountain. The inside of the coaster is pitch black. The ride has a compact layout that many enthusiasts consider strange and unique.
Opening Date: ?, ?, 1996.
Bite-Sized Review: Runaway Mountain is perhaps the most absurd roller coaster I’ve ever ridden. The ride masks itself as a normal indoor family roller coaster, but the layout is actually pretty intense. The best element on the ride is a weird banked dive drop that curves back up in a sort of reverse, non-inverting loop (if that makes any sense.). The coaster could use some theming and audio to complete the experience though.
