Even though it’s only 2017, it’s never too early to start speculating on what 2018 will bring for the theme park industry.
Essentially what I’ve created here is a list of my predictions for what new attractions we’ll see at different North American theme parks in 2018. Keep in mind, all of these predictions are a mere combination of guessing and hoping. Even though I think something is going to happen next year, doesn’t mean it actually will.
As the year goes on, I’ll be sure to update this page with new predictions/announcements for new attractions at all of the parks. It will constantly be evolving, so be sure to check back once and a while for new updates and information.

As Vortex powered on The Great Destructor, Medusa and the others raced to the double decker carrousel. Once they arrived, Velocity climbed up to the second level. Using his superior technological abilities, he attempted to shut down the weapon. Before he could access the kill code, Vortex attacked him from behind, and threw him off the carrousel. Bright and early this morning, my Twitter feed erupted with the discussion of the latest theme park rumor: A skyway gondola system used to transport guests around the Epcot/Hollywood Studios area in the Walt Disney World resort. At first I thought this was just a small hoax, but the more I read, the more I realized that this could be the real deal. Apparently Disney has already filed permits for the system, with the rumored route looking something like this:

Today we’re kicking the 2017 season off with one of my favorite coasters-if not my favorite coaster: Wicked Cyclone at Six Flags New England in Agawam, Massachusetts!
Wicked Cyclone is an RMC hybrid coaster that was introduced in 2015. It has 3 inversions, reaches a height of 109 feet, and a speed of 55 mph.
