2018 is finally here, and almost every theme park has announced their plans for new additions coming this year. That means it’s already time to start speculating on what 2019 will bring us!
On August 31st, the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation released their lineup of new attractions coming to their parks in 2018. Some were worth the wait, and others…not so much. I’m going to list off each of the announcements, starting with the ones I thought were the worst, and ending with my favorite Six Flags announcement for the 2018 season.
Over the course of 2017, I’ve paid visits to Six Flags Magic Mountain, Carowinds, and many other parks across the U.S. However, today we’re heading back to my home park, Six Flags Great America, to create a new, revitalized Top 10 coasters list for the park. Unlike my previous Great America Top 10, this brand new list includes the New For 2017 The Joker: 4D Free Fly Coaster, as well as changed or updated opinions on the various roller coasters located at Six Flags Great America.
Just when we thought the first single-rail Raptor coaster was heading to a Cedar Fair park, Six Flags Fiesta Texas announced today that they would be the first to build the new prototype, which will open in 2018!
July 9th marked my first visit to Six Flags America, a smaller theme park located in Bowie, Maryland, just 30 minutes out of Washington D.C. We only spent a few hours at the park, due to me coming down with a cold, but we were able to get on 6 of their 9 coasters. Here are my overall thoughts about the park, it’s coasters, and the overall experience you get when you visit Six Flags America.
On Sunday, July 9th, I paid my first visit to Six Flags America in Bowie, MD. Although I was coming down with a bad cold, I still managed to have a pretty good time at the park, and rode 6 out of 9 coasters before I couldn’t do anymore.
