Disney After Hours Boo Bash to Replace Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party this fall

Walt Disney World has a new “trick” up their sleeves this Halloween. Instead of continuing Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP), the Magic Kingdom theme park will put on a new event called “Disney After Hours BOO BASH.” The event will be held on select nights, Aug. 10 to Oct. 31 from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m.

There will be plenty to see and do at Boo Bash, including Halloween-themed cavalcades, character meet and greet spots, performances by the Cadaver Dans, and of course, lots of candy and other treats.

The event will operate similarly to MNSSHP, as it will require a separate ticket other than a general admission to get into the park. Guests with the Boo Bash ticket will be able to arrive at the park as early as 7 p.m. even if they don’t have a general admission ticket or park reservation.

Also following in Magic Kingdom Halloween tradition is how everyone in attendance can wear a Halloween costume. The rules aren’t anything we haven’t seen before, with costume masks only being permitted for children 14 and under. However, all guests must wear regular masks at the event. That shouldn’t come as a shock either.

The event will also offer over 20 attractions for guests to experience. Some of these include Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Following the theme of Disney’s other “After Hours” events, the rides will all have low wait times due to a limited number of guests.

Tickets for “Disney After Hours BOO BASH” will go on sale in June. Guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels will also have the ability to purchase a ticket early. Find out more on their website.
