On September 4th, 2017, my family and I drove 2 hours west of our home to pay a short visit to the Mt. Olympus Water and Theme Park in the Wisconsin Dells. Despite living relatively close, we had never actually been to this park before. In fact, this was only my second time visiting the Dells area in my life, which is pretty odd for a being a native Wisconsinite.
On August 31st, the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation released their lineup of new attractions coming to their parks in 2018. Some were worth the wait, and others…not so much. I’m going to list off each of the announcements, starting with the ones I thought were the worst, and ending with my favorite Six Flags announcement for the 2018 season.
Over the course of 2017, I’ve paid visits to Six Flags Magic Mountain, Carowinds, and many other parks across the U.S. However, today we’re heading back to my home park, Six Flags Great America, to create a new, revitalized Top 10 coasters list for the park. Unlike my previous Great America Top 10, this brand new list includes the New For 2017 The Joker: 4D Free Fly Coaster, as well as changed or updated opinions on the various roller coasters located at Six Flags Great America.
Continuing from where we left off, our next ride of the day would be the B&M Invert, Afterburn. While we walked towards the coaster, we passed the Planet Snoopy area, which had some very fun comic strip theming from the Peanuts comics.
On Monday, July 31st, my family and I visited Carowinds, a Cedar Fair theme park located on the border of North and South Carolina. We spent about 6 hours at the park, which was more than enough time to ride all of the coasters (minus the kiddie coasters). In fact, because the day seemed so much longer than usual and I took so many pictures, I figured this trip report should be split up into two parts. The link to part 2 will be at the bottom of this page, once it comes out. In the meantime, here’s part 1!
