2018 is finally here, and almost every theme park has announced their plans for new additions coming this year. That means it’s already time to start speculating on what 2019 will bring us!
For the 2018 season, Darien Lake Amusement Park in Darien Center, NY will be recieving a new roller coaster titled Tantrum.
On August 31st, the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation released their lineup of new attractions coming to their parks in 2018. Some were worth the wait, and others…not so much. I’m going to list off each of the announcements, starting with the ones I thought were the worst, and ending with my favorite Six Flags announcement for the 2018 season.
Just when we thought the first single-rail Raptor coaster was heading to a Cedar Fair park, Six Flags Fiesta Texas announced today that they would be the first to build the new prototype, which will open in 2018!
On September 5th, 2017, the Dragon Challenge roller coaster at Universal’s Islands of Adventure will permanently close to make way for an all new thrill ride opening in 2019.
