Knott’s Berry Farm Shuts Down “Taste of Merry Farm” Event Following New COVID-19 Measures in California (12/7)

California has released a new stay-at-home order due to COVID-19 which resulted in Knott’s Berry Farm ceasing operation of its “Taste of Merry Farm” event.

The 138-year-old Swedish theme park Gröna Lund plans to open its brand-new roller coaster, titled “Monster – King of Roller Coasters”, on April 24, 2021.

Disney Investor Day 2020 Announcements

Disney held its 2020 investor Day presentation on December 10th, and let’s just say it looks like we’re going to be watching Star Wars from now until we’re all dead. Here’s a lengthy list of the most notable announcements.

  • American Horror Stories, an anthology series spin-off of American Horror Story, is coming to FX on Hulu.
  • Alien, a TV series based on the Alien film series, is coming to FX on Hulu.
  • Rangers of the New Republic, a new original Star Wars series set within the timeline of The Mandalorian, is coming to Disney+.
  • Ahsoka, a new original Star Wars series set within the timeline of The Mandalorian, is coming to Disney+.
  • Andor, an original series set in the Star Wars universe, will begin streaming in 2022 on Disney+.
  • Hayden Christensen will return as Darth Vader in Obi-Wan Kenobi, an original series on Disney+ set in the Star Wars universe starring Ewan McGregor.
  • Lando, a new original Star Wars series, is coming to Disney+.
  • The Acolyte, a mystery thriller set in the Star Wars universe during the final days of the High Republic era, is coming to Disney+.
  • A brand-new Star Wars movie created by Taika Waititi is in development.
  • Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, a brand-new movie directed by Patty Jenkins, is in development.
  • Chip N’ Dale: Rescue Rangers, Chip and Dale hybrid live-action-animated feature starring John Mulaney and Andy Samberg is coming to Disney+.
  • A live-action retelling of Pinocchio is coming to Disney+ starring Tom Hanks.
  • Peter Pan & Wendy will be coming to Disney+.
  • Disenchanted, a sequel to the film Enchanted, will be coming to Disney+.
  • Raya and the Last Dragon will be coming to Disney+ Premium Access on the same day it releases in theaters.
  • Baymax!, Zootopia+, Tiana, and Moana are all brand-new series coming to Disney+ in 2023.
  • Disney will team up with Pan-African entertainment company Kugali to create a new science fiction series coming to Disney+ in 2022, titled Iwaju.
  • Encanto, an all-new animated film set in Colombia, has been announced.
  • Dug Days, an Up spin-off about Dug will premier on Disney+ in 2021.
  • A Cars spin-off series starring Lightning McQueen and Mater is coming to Disney+ in 2022.
  • Win or Lose, Pixar’s first long-form animated series, is coming to Disney+ in 2023.
  • Lightyear, a Pixar film about the origin of Buzz Lightyear starring Chris Evans, will release in theaters on June 17, 2022.
  • The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will start streaming March 19, 2021 on Disney+.
  • Black Widow will debut in theaters May 7, 2021.
  • Loki and WHAT IF…?, two original series from Marvel, received trailers and will debut on Disney+ in 2021.
  • Ms. Marvel, an original series from Marvel Studios, is coming to Disney+ in 2021.
  • Captain Marvel 2 releases in theaters on November 11, 2022.
  • She Hulk, Moon Knight, Secret Invasion, Ironheart, and Armor Wars are all original series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe coming to Disney+.
  • The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will release on Disney+ in 2022.
  • I Am Groot, an original series of shorts from Marvel Studios, is coming to Disney+.
  • A third Ant-man film, titled Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, has been announced.
  • Black Panther 2, coming to theaters July 8, 2022, will not recast T’Challa in respect for the late Chadwick Boseman.
  • Jon Watts will direct a new Fantastic 4 film.

And that was just about half of what was announced…my fingers hurt.
