New details and concept art have been revealed for Lookout Cay, Disney’s new retreat on the island of Eleuthera in The Bahamas.

Locations at Lookout Cay are as follows:

Mabrika Cove is the destination’s arrival point. Mabrika means “welcome” in Taino. This is the language oof the Lucayans, whoo are the indigenous people of The Bahamas.

The Goombay Cultural Center, which will be home to a Bahamian festival with Goombay music, the traditional music style of The Bahamas. The area will also feature parades.

Triton’s Trumpet Stage is a gazebo featuring family entertainment. The title is inspired by the spiraled seashell of the same name, which can commonly be found on beaches in The Bahamas. It is also a reference to “The Little Mermaid.”

Treasures of Eleuthera is a retail shop selling locally made gifts and artisan crafts. The shop will be home to artwork made by Bahamian artists, which is a nice gesture to the surrounding area and culture.

Finally, Serenity Bay is an adults-only area on the island. Only those 18 and older will be allowed in, which is similar to the Serenity Bay found on Disney Castaway Cay. The location will be home to a calm and peaceful beach, a dining area and private cabanas.

The new island destination debuts in Summer 2024. More information will be released in the following months, so stay tuned!
